I came across an email while going through a lot of forwarded messages (the cute ones, the serious ones, the demanding ones).

A follow-up on my post “Hala, Hello Garci na naman?“, this speech of Senator Miriam Defensor Santiago’s, the one I was watching at ANC before.

I don’t want to be too political pero nakakasawa na issues. Miriam’s gathered all the important points and the other people, especially the senators, just need to read and UNDERSTAND what she’s trying to tell everyone. Tapos na ito, bubulatlatin na naman. Hay, mga tao talaga. Crab mentality.

I’m not maka-siete nor maka-dos. I don’t even have time to watch TV. I’ve never seen the famous commercial of Jet Li for SMB, “Makulay ang buhay sa sinabawang gulay” is just a forwarded text message to me. The joey-willie tension heats up.

I’ve seen the video clips of wowowee, crocodile tears of willie, joey’s speech in youtube. If I were to choose who’s fair, who’s not, I do agree with many people that wowowee’s “technical glitch” showed that they can manipulate who can win and who can’t get the prize. Cheating is very much evident here. Joey’s line, “Explain before you complain” suits the whole thing right. I just got annoyed at Willie’s drama, shedding crocodile tears (and I think he wasn’t able to shed a tear.. he tried to! hahahah).

Since a lot of poor people have been tricked to “fulfilling their dreams” in wowowee, queuing at 3 in the morning, skipping breakfast just to get a chance to win, I say, it’s not worth it! The show does cheat. Who knows, that ring the lady got can be changed to 2 million pesos. it’s in the “bayolet” one… whoops! wala! wala! har har. This should be investigated on. It’s right that Mar Roxas and Bong Revilla open this one to the senate. I agree with Joey de leon.

Enough of that “Hello Garci” issue, move on with “Hello Pappy”.

Just got home from work and checked my email. This friend of mine forwarded an email containing Sen. Gordon’s speech about reopening the wiretapping incident. I didn’t know why the heck she forwarded this to me.
I’m not quite interested in politics but this one has probably ticked me. I’m just wondering why people would still reopen an incident that has been buried already.

Our economy has been growing, peso has gone up (now it’s down a little.. little lang), lesser people say they are poor.  Craaaaaaaaaaaab mentality talaga.

What’s their point? Tell me your take on this.

Here’s my second post for today. hahaha

Well, Chiz Escudero just finished his statement. Nakakatawa si Miriam…. her comments to chiz while he was talking were sarcastic, citing he is not informed enough of the matter.

Then I found out they are seatmates at the Senate! Chiz even made beso to Miriam, so did Peter Cayetano. Pimentel shook her hand instead which,  I think, is more professional and REAL. Gosh, these people, ha! they’re so plastic!

Earlier, Miriam even mentioned that the Hello Garci has been played on and on, it has already been memorized by people and it has even been made into a ringtone! LOL, that one, I didn’t know!

Since I couldn’t sleep… I decided to do some channel surfing. I came across Miriam Defensor-Santiago’s speech in ANC.

Funny how Ping Lacson, Jamby Madrigal and Loren Legarda bunch up at a corner, naka-simangot at nagchichismaxan, i mean, chismisan.

“Baket ba naman tayo babalik doon?” Tama si Miriam. Tapos na eh. Hindi pa rin ba sila maka-move on? Ano ito, bigo sa pag-ibig? gosh ha! parang ako nung college!

Si Hannah (sister ko), walang pasok sa school. Si James, cousin ko, walang pasok sa work.  Dadaan daw mamaya to borrow my Paul Van Dyk CD (see image at the left side). Ako, may pasok na kanina, papasok pa ulit mamayang gabi.

Wala akong choice but to go to work, nag-pledge na kami sa TL ko. Pag di naman ako pumasok, SL din abot ko. I’m saving up my SL’s!

Gosh, unfair!

damnit! i lost my shades this evening! someone took it from my station when i was having a one-on-one with my TL. I didn’t know this office breeds cleptomaniacs and criminals. the sun’s about to shine in a couple of hours and i don’t have eye protection. DAMN whoever took my shades! F*cker!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

wala na namang pasok ang mga estudyante. I got stuck in traffic again. It’s the second time this week. This just sucks. Puro baha kahit saan.

Flood and traffic weren’t this worse a couple of years ago. Hindi nga nagbabaha sa amin pero on my way home, it’s just bad.

Aside from the deadly diseases which lurk in floodwaters, it’s nakakadiri.

I think, people in esteros should move somewhere else. If you’d notice, there are a lot of garbage under their houses which are situated in rivers or esteros. Of all the places na titirahan nila, doon pa. It’s not land, it’s water. They pollute the bodies of water. Gosh!

Discipline, not only to those people who live in those shanties, but also for ALL the people. A simple piece of candy wrapper can be a cause of flood – clogged drainage. can’t you just people look for a trash bin first or put the smaller pieces of trash in your pockets?

I don’t think I can make a difference with this blog post, but if a few people can read this, I hope they’ll think about it.

I have been looking for these Turkish pastries for quite some time now because ever since I’ve tasted these,  I  loved them!

They’re not so sweet stuff filo pastries filled with nuts (some are ground to a paste, some are just chopped), fruits and spices. I know, you may find it a bit weird but the spices they add enhance the flavor of these desserts!

Any suggestions where I can find these in the Philippines?

 How to avoid:
Check on the bottom of the bottle there is a triangle sign and there will
be a number on it. If the number is higher than or equal to 5 –> then this bottle is safe to use.

Whatever number under 5 will release the chemical. For most bottle water, the number is 1.

It’s definitely unfair for her to write negative criticisms against her fellow Filipinos (that includes ME, even if I’m not an OFW).  She even wrote a follow-up article which irked OFWs more!

WTF????? a divalicious babe? oh come on! If she had a soft heart even if she’s that heavy, I wouldn’t get mad.  From other people’s posts, she has namedropped a lot of people who probably wished she never mentioned them. ikinahihiya na sya ngayon! Gosh ha, she’s no Filipina!

Wow, Trinoma is big and it’s a nice tambayan (20-minute ride from my house)! Jeep lang ako to North Avenue at ayun na. Ang saya!

I went there with my sister. She was begging me (at oo, binibiro ko na lumuhod sya) to go there. It was both our first time to go there and our experience is quite nice naman.

Hindi pa lahat ng stores open, pero marami na ang nakabukas. It’s clean, it has nice shops and there are a lot of restaurants!

I bought this hair removal wax set from Watson’s last week. I forgot the name… Epilin, or something. Around PhP600 and it has a popsicle stick for easy application. The container for the wax is metal, so you can directly put it on a burner.

I didn’t know what kind of burner to use.. so first, I melted the wax on our stove and brought it to the comfort room where I’d be doing my “session”.

Application

It was hot but good thing it didn’t burn me. Apply a thin strip, let stand for a few seconds, pull it away from the direction of hair growth… OUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

well, after probably my 3rd strip, I got used to it. It didn’t hurt anymore. It’s just icky how the used piece of wax looked with all my hair, roots intact were stuck there.

After a few more strips, the wax hardened. Instead of putting it on a stove, I just used a tea light candle instead. this time, it’s better.

The verdict

I’ll be waxing my hair again but not too soon. It’s not in my budget and the hair will probably grow in 2 weeks time.

I also tried waxing a part of my eyebrows and using tweezers is more precise.

I’ll try waxing outside the comfort room next time. I got drenched with sweat.

Just came home from a day in Tagaytay with my officemates.

Went to Caleruega, then had late breakfast at “Breakfast at Antonio’s”. Coffee muna sa starbuko, I mean, Starbucks, lunch at Dencio’s.  Punta din ng highlands, ikot don, gamit membership ni tita (with permission!).

Caleruega – hay, sarap siguro magpakasal dito.

By the way, I saw this post from Anton’s blog which is about the Cliff House. OK ang ambiance, nice view kahit na medyo gabi na kami nagpunta don.

Buon Giorno is the Italian restaurant where we had dinner. I say, it’s better than Italliani’s. Aside from the ambiance, the food here is not overpriced. You also get to have some bread to dip in balsamic vinegar and oil. The pizza we had was the 4-cheese one. Simple but delicious.  My favorite lasagna was served in a hot plate, with lots and lots of cheese!  Gosh, buti I’m not lactose-intolerant.

I’ve brewed my current PSP and maraming games na. It has remained quite loyal to me… hmmmm…

Sana walang pasok. Asa pa ako.  mga call centers naman kasi, walang konsiderasyon.

So after work, nag-breakfast ako with my teammates at TL, aba, hindi ito FGD. nagkataon lang. Jollibee lang naman bagsak namin. Tapos, uwi, bihis, derecho sa eskwelahan para bumoto.

Gosh ha, ang kalat-kalat! ang daming papers! ang daming litterbugs! nakakainis! akala mo naman sila ang maglilinis ng lahat. Kawawa naman mga metro aide at pulis oysters.

So, a responsible citizen DreyM casted her vote for the senators, mayors, congressmen and councilors. Turnout for our barangay wasn’t bad. May ibang precinct, mahaba pila. Mine was… ok lang. First time ko, kaya siguro don ako sa mga bago.

Ayan, marami ngang tao sa ibang precincts, di ba? Itong isa, si manong, sa pintuan na lang ng banyo nagsulat ng boto. Tama ba naman yun???? Gosh ha!

it’s been months since I last played basketball. everyone seemed to be a bit busy, and that includes me!

So off we went to  our subdivision’s basketball court. Drey (that’s me!), Jada, Belle, Karen, Tina, Maro, Milla, Jeng, and the only boy, Scott met up at the playground first. We kinda bullied the younger kids who were using the court as we took over it. hahahah so bad!

our team got the only boy but we lost 4 points – 36 to 40. It was almost an hour and a half of play.  Hay.. maybe next time, we’ll play harder and better.
